Female Proper Name Subject Agreement
To indicate a proper name as a female, when it is the subject, a special prefix is needed affixed to the verb. In Judean, this is often translated as "she" or "indicates a female is doing the action. This means verbs have gender in Judean. When using the Judean Translator on this site, you will need to indicate the with a mark that the proper name is a female, add (f) after the name. The verb will then use feminine (3fs) conjugation instead of the default masculine.

• Sarah → male verb (default)
• Sarah (f) → female verb

• Perfect (past): ה suffix on verb
• Imperfect (present/future): ת prefix on verb
• Without (f), all names default to male conjugation
• The (f) marker is not translated - just triggers female agreement in the Judean Translator. A good rule of thumb, is to use (f) for literal translations to communicate that it is done.
